Central Govt has constituted an expert Committee for framing rules under Occupation safety and health (OSH CODE )for workplace relating to factories.
The committee includes HR Leadership from leading organizations including JUBILANT, CIPLA, MARUTI, NTPC, BHARAT FORGE, HINDUSTAN ZINC, GODRAJ& BOYCE, and RELIANCE along with senior GOVT OFFICIALS.
The purpose of framing the standards on occupational safety and health for workplace relating to factories, constitute an expert Committee comprising of the following, namely.
The said expert Committee shall submit the Draft of such rules/ standards to the Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment within six months from date of this order which may be considered by the Central Government for their notification under Section – 18, 23 and 24 of the OSH & WC Code.
The Head office of the Expert Committee shall be at the Head Quarter of DGFASLI, Mumbai and the Chairman of the committee shall have the power to regulate the meeting and other proceedings of the expert committee.
The tenure of the above expert committee shall be six months from the date of issue of this order and necessary orders regarding Payment of TA/DA and other entitlement. The non official representative will be issued separately.
This issue with the approval of the competent authority K.R Meena (Under Secretary of the Govt of India) and all members of the committee.
