EPFO internal working software update matter, It is week time now that EPFO is trying to modify and upgrade the internal accounting working software. It is learnt that when initially done, there were some changes in the Display on the screen.
But, it seems some major lapses in the program has taken place.
For example, if the earlier final settlement of Form 19 PF claim was Rs.4,00,000- done a few months back. There was some supplementary amount of say Rs.13,000- left in the PF account which was credited by the employer at a later stage of the first PF claim settlement was done, which the employer might have paid it due to arrears salary. Now, when the employee has applied for another PF claim, the EPFO internal system is showing the balance amount as R.4,13,000.
Sometimes, it is showing this big amount at the Scroll stage and the official in the Scroll stage promptly informed the Accounts Section official. The Accounts Section official felt a sigh of relief. Because, if
overpayment had taken place, then the Department would have started the Recovery process of deducting the overpaid amount from Salary, Gratuity, etc. of the EPFO official. On the other hand, EPFO Commissioners are insisting on settling 100 PF claims per day, to get Best Performance Award to their Regional Office.
At present, all the below websites of EPFO are not opening and CLOSED, perhaps due to some software modification work going on.

- EPF Member Portal website is closed.
- EPF Employer Portal website is closed.
- EPFIGMS grievance website is closed.
- EPF Passbook Portal Closed.
